Over 175 Members and Growing

Our Mission - The Waccamaw Neck Computer Club was formed to improve the literacy and enjoyment of computers and computer related activities for residents of the Waccamaw Neck. This will be accomplished through direct activities of the Club and through support of the Georgetown County Library in their community related activities.

Our Goal is to provide programs which meet the interests and needs of our members through monthly general meetings and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Those members who have a strong background in certain areas will be expected to provide leadership and support to those who are interested in learning. Each club member will be expected to volunteer to help with club activities, which also includes support for the Library activities. Underlying all of the clubs activities will be an up-to-date and functional Internet website which will be the focal point for communications.

AcknowledgementThe Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL) generously support the Waccamaw Neck Computer Club in many ways. The Waccamaw Neck branch of the Georgetown County Library system provides an excellent place for us to meet. We are very thankful to both groups.

Welcome to the Waccamaw Neck Computer Club. We are 175 members strong. We meet at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library on Mondays at 9:30am. Membership not required to attend meetings. No membership fee charged.

First Monday of each month is Photography Special Interest Group (SIG) where your camera meets your pc.

Second Monday of each month is the Regular Monthly meeting combined with the Fundamentals SIG. We teach you new things, have demos and instructional sessions and a general Q & A on all topics relating to computers.

Genealogy meets Quarterly on the Third Monday of each month - learn to use your computer to find your long lost relatives, etc.

Hope to see you there and bring a friend. Carole
